We had been looking forward to Thanksgiving for months (and not just for the food, though we knew it would be great). We were most eager to visit our extended family down in Arizona.
Here are a few highlights:
My grandma makes the world's best pies, so we took this opportunity to learn some of her secrets. She was very patient with us, especially with Mike as he tried to learn perfect pie crust crimping. We just kept going and going.
Here we are with the 17 pies we turned out. Aunt Nancy's not in the picture, but she was a major part of the production line as well.
We visited Mike's Grandpa as well. We had fun looking at his scrapbook and hearing some
favorite family stories.
We had a great time. We're thankful to have such great family and even get to visit them every now and then!
