Camping

A couple days after returning from our Arizona trip, we went camping with some of our law school friends. We went to a beautiful spot in northern Illinois, on land owned by the parents of a friend. It was just perfect. We were relaxing so much that we didn't even get our camera out the first day, so we're collecting pictures from friends. We did get a few pictures on Saturday morning and from swimming on Saturday afternoon. We had a fabulous time and really appreciate all the planning that Greg and Katie did.

One of the memorable parts (I wouldn't exactly call it a highlight) was when Steve found a tiny frog , showed it to the kids, and let them hold it. Leave it to Eliza to put the creature in her mouth! Thankfully one of the other moms was paying better attention than I was, and the frog was rescued from Eliza's mouth. Gross, I know. Thank you Kristen!

Eliza didn't want to miss any of the action, so she was the last kid in bed (well, asleep) and the first kid (well, person) up in the morning.

Eliza LOVES the water. (So does Daddy.)

While the daddies were playing an intense water volleyball game, the little ladies snuggled up for a post-swim movie.

I love the picture of the girls on the couch! I might have to "borrow" it for our blog :)

A frog in the mouth to match her frog chair, perhaps?
