Caleb at 15 Months

 

Little Buddy (or "Baby Buddy" as Eliza calls him) has really taken off with walking this month.  I think it was right around November 1st when he decided to make walking (and running) his primary form of transportation.  It was almost an overnight development.  He walks incredibly stably for a beginner.  You'd never guess he hasn't been walking for months.

At his 15 month check-up, Caleb was 25 lbs 9 oz (62nd percentile) and 32 inches tall (72nd percentile).

Caleb is full of personality.  He has fun playing with Eliza except when she takes his toys.  When he wakes up first, "Ziza" (Liza) is often the first thing he says.  He loves wrestling and being chased.  He likes to be read to.  He says about two dozen words.  He gives great hugs and kisses.

Like most kids his age, Caleb loves talking on a cell phone.

 As much as I try to prevent it, Caleb spends some time chilling on the kitchen table everyday.  Usually he looks out the window or turns the lights off and on.  Other times he just lies down with a snack and makes himself comfortable.

Caleb loves to jump on Eliza's bed with her.  He is pretty close to successfully jumping on the ground too.

 Caleb is pretty easy-going and even-tempered most of the time.  He smiles a lot and is very ticklish.    He loves to join in with giggles and laughter when he hears other people laughing.  He can make any scene into a game of peek-a-boo.

Caleb is still very much in the put-everything-in-your-mouth stage.  Here his is salivating over a rock the he just picked up.  Seconds later it was in the mouth.  I find rocks in his mouth all the time.

Caleb is an independent eater.  He is usually strapped into his booster seat though.  He is very skilled at getting the food in his mouth with a fork or spoon when he wants to.  Unfortunately, he is also not beyond throwing and dumping his food.  He especially loves to turn his sippy cup of milk upside down and drip his milk into a puddle, then splash in it.
