Bloomington Zoo

While Mike was in Bloomington one morning for his law clinic, the kids and I checked out Miller Park Zoo.  We really enjoyed ourselves!  It's a smaller zoo, so we saw pretty much everything in the 2-3 hours we were there.  Another perk (at least for the people) is that the enclosures are small, so you get to see the animals at lot closer than you would at a larger zoo.
In addition to normal zoo animals, there were some farm animals like these goats that Eliza is smiling at.

Joshy preferred to stick his tongue at the goats.

We saw two bald eagles (both injured, from Alaska).  They are beautiful birds and it was amazing to see them up close!

The kangaroos were pretty fun!  You get to walk in with the kangaroos.  We loved watching them jump around.

We took a break for crackers and a photo in front of the sun bear.

A bird from the rainforest exhibit.  The kids liked walking in with the birds and rainforest animals.

I loved the brilliant blue of these poisonous tree frogs.

We got a little peek at these giant guys on the way out.  they were enormous!
