A Visit From Grandpa Monte

We were excited the Grandpa Monte made his way out to California this summer.  He spent a couple days with us, then went on to visit his brother and his dad.  We were happy to have him visit!

 We showed him the chicken coop.

 And let him dig for treasures in the garden (I think he found a few carrots and maybe a potato).

We went to play in the river.

 And Grandpa even got in the water!

 We had a little picnic,

Then something amazing happened (no pictures to document it, thankfully, so it must be recorded here). Dad convinced Mom to get all the way in the water!  The whole family went for a swim together.  We found some crawdad shells and stubbed our toes on lots of rocks in the river.

Josh used a curling iron to help Grandpa be beautiful for church.

Come a visit again Grandpa!
