As soon as I opened the gate to our garden this morning, I saw bright yellow flowers on our largest zucchini plant. I was ecstatic! I ran in to get the camera so I could take a picture. I know I am much more excited than the average person, even the average gardening person. This is my first garden and has been my therapy in recent months. Since I've never had a garden before, I got a little carried away on some things. For example, we have 10 zucchini plants-- way more than anyone needs, apparently. Besides our tomato plants, we planted everything from seed, which is probably part of why it's so exciting for me to see them grow. Eventually, I'll get the before and after pictures of the whole garden up (our vegetable garden used to be a field of knee-deep weeds), so you can see all the work we've done. Until then, start looking up zucchini recipes because you better believe we'll be sharing!
