It has really been 40 weeks now! I've got a great idea for something that will make this due date worth celebrating... but I guess it's up to Baby to figure it out. We've still got about ten hours left in the day, so there's still time. Grandma is here and everything is ready (besides Daddy's law school and business school applications that are due on Saturday). Even my two-year-old nephew is encouraging her to come. He lifts up my shirt and says "Baby Cousin come out Stephie's shirt."
At yesterday's doctor's appointment things were pretty much the same as they were the week before. I'm going in for a fetal non-stress test tomorrow just to make sure everything is okay so we can hurry up... and wait.
In the meantime, check out the most recent belly shot (taken last week, 39 weeks). I have gained almost 45 pounds now! Ridiculous, eh?! Do you recognize this shirt Mandy? It makes me think of grapefruit.

I haven’t sat by the phone waiting for a call this long since my college years! *wink* Hurry up baby!
Geesh! I’ve been wondering what’s been happening. Glad for the update. This is exactly what happened to me. I went 5 days past my due date. I really hope you don’t have to wait that long!
Have you tried walking with one foot up on the curb and one foot on the ground? (Don’t you love getting advice?) We are seriously so anxious for you guys!!! And, I love you in that shirt! HOT MAMA!
Good to hear from you guys! Don’t worry… you’ll hear as soon as there’s news! I hate calling anyone now because as soon as they see that it’s me they expect big news and I hate being a disappointment.
Mandy, I died when I read your comment. I ran across that advice last night as I was looking up natural ways to induce labor. It sounds so ridiculous! We’ll try anything (well almost).
Steph! I am soooo excited for you! Are you guys going to still be around when we venture out to Utah this summer? I can’t wait to meet the newest Hodnett! I went a week overdue with Madison and finally went in the night before my scheduled induction. I’m sure you are crazy with excitement! Good luck with the delivery! You guys are gonna be the best parents!
PS. I think Mandy’s advice is making fun of me because I made her walk for hours to get Edie here! Try it….it really works…sometimes!
YAY!
