Thanksgiving in Ohio

For Thanksgiving weekend, we drove to Ohio to visit my family. We stayed with my sister Whitney. They have a cute apartment with a fabulous layout. Thanks Whit! My sister Darbie hosted everyone at her place for Thanksgiving dinner. Mmmmm!

While my dad was carving the turkey, my mom went in the other room and whipped these little turkeys up in no time using Darbie’s crafty stuff.

My mom brought a keyboard over to Darbie’s so we could practice the musical number she wanted us to sing in church. Eliza got a piano lesson from Grandma Melinda. She loves playing piano! Jay really enjoyed the special features on the keyboard. He learned how to make it play Jingle Bells and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. He would play and sing along with it. He knows all the words. I don’t have a picture of it, but the keyboard actually gave Jay a shiner! He was really getting into one of his songs. I think he was standing on the chair bopping to the music and belting the words out when he slipped and took a nice fall. On his way down the keyboard punched him in the eye.

Eliza had a blast playing with her 3-month-old cousin Carly. She loved standing herself up on Carly’s bouncer so she could explore better.

We had to watch her closely because Carly’s eyes and mouth were especially interesting to her.

My dad tried to share his Diet Coke addiction with Eliza. Again.

It started when she was less than 2 weeks old. We had a fun trip, though it went by too fast. We’re excited to go back for Christmas.

I love the pics of your dad trying to give Coke to Eliza. My dad does the same with his Pepsi with our kids!
