Nauvoo

For our monthly temple trip, we met the Krauses in Nauvoo. Bryan and Nancy found a great house to rent that was within walking distance of the temple. While they went to the temple, we watched their kids and the kids of our friends the Noonans.

Big Eliza, Eliza, Bradley, and Laney show off the puzzle they put together. We managed to get the 3 youngest kids to all take naps at the same time.

Afterward, Mike and I attended a wonderful temple session while the Krauses watched our kids. We always have so much fun getting together!

Though we were tired and ready to head home, we stopped and played at Pioneer Past Times in Old Nauvoo. Sleepy Eliza perked right up at the prospect of playing dress up and pretend.

Eliza gallops on her stick horse.

Eliza had so much fun in the play kitchen area of the little pioneer home.

She also had fun drawing in the pioneer schoolhouse.

Some super sturdy sheep.

The big boys play with the toys.

Daddy and Eliza battle it out in the stick pull.

We had fun playing pioneer games and dressing up. Caleb slept through all of it, so we'll have to go back again!

Both kids fell asleep in the first ten minutes of the drive home. What a great trip!

How fun! Isn't it nice when trips go smoothly? Looks like the grown-ups had fun playing dress up too! =)

Great pictures! I was wondering where Caleb was during all the fun! You guys should come out and visit Ohio again...you can stay with us! :)

I don't remember there being any kind of dress-up last time I went to Navoo. It looks like I missed out!

I love "Momica." Eliza is so so super cute. I am glad you had a good time in Nauvoo. How is potty training? Dry for naps and night now? Trent was dry for naps but hasn't been for a while now...Still working on the sleeping training. Haven't tried nights yet. But the rest is going pretty well!
