Caleb LOVES to be outside. He always goes to the backdoor and says "side! side!" when he wants to go play in the backyard. He loves sticks and is always trying to bring them in the house after playing. He loves playing in the dirt (though he doesn't seem to eat it as much as Eliza did). He likes to point out the animals we see (birds, squirrels, and dogs, mostly).
Caleb like to sing. He knows some words to songs we listen to all the time, but usually he just sings "ahhhh" or whatever he wants. He even sings to the hymns in church.
Caleb is generally a good eater, though there are some things we have for dinner that he just isn't interested in. He finally decided he likes oranges. He loves bananas, grapes, apples, and strawberries.
When the food is good, Caleb doesn't mess around.
His vocabulary is growing every day. He has put two words together on a few occasions, but he usually uses one word at a time. We are reading from the grown-up scriptures now (we read and re-read the illustrated ones many times) and Caleb reads his whole verse repeating one word at a time. It's pretty cute.
Thanks to Eliza's influence, Caleb loves to accessorize.
Caleb loves to jump. The wind up is the best part. He bends his knees and squats down low. Then, after a second's delay he pops up, but usually with one leg before the other. He'll repeat this several times in a row until both legs go up at the same time in a legitimate jump. He is thrilled.
Caleb loves to use tools to fix things.
