Caleb at 28 months

Caleb is a sponge lately.  I catch him singing songs or reciting poems all the time.  He is always talking or singing about something.  He likes to follow Eliza around and do whatever she does.  He is also picking up on her sassiness and disobedience, which means double trouble for mom and dad.  Thankfully they do usually play together well.

Eliza talked pretty gramatically from the beginning.  Caleb, on the other hand, talks like Cookie Monster (though I'm sure he didn't get it from him, because we don't watch tons of Sesame Street).  He uses "me" instead of "I" most of the time.

Another note on Caleb's speech is that all words that start with an 's' blend have the 's' sound omitted ("snow" = "no," "stickers" = "tickers").

Caleb loves holding Joshua!  They are great little buddies.  Caleb looks huge to me these days.  It is crazy to think that just 2 years ago he was a baby.

Caleb continues to be a good helper with Baby Josh.  Caleb is our "trash man" and will throw away all Josh's dirty diapers (and any other trash we have).  He likes having a special responsibility.
