The kids call Saturday a "stay-at-home day" because Daddy doesn't have to go to work. They have a really hard time letting him go to work each day, so stay-at-home days are big deals.
The kids always ask to play in the culvert ("clovert" according to Caleb) that goes under the driveway down near the gate. I always tell them "not without a grown-up (Dad)" because I am afraid they will get stuck or find rattlesnakes or something crazy in there. Well one warmish Saturday in January, we explored the culvert and other parts of the property.

I was content watching everyone else go through, but Mike and the kids insisted that I go through too because "it's so fun." As I slithered/army-crawled, it felt more claustrophobic than fun, but my good family cheered me on.
Mike showed us some trees he planted from seedlings when he was a kid. Now they are taller than him!
Caleb did lots of climbing and jumping. A perfect adventure in his eyes.
Call me lazy, but carrying the camera is way easier than carrying Josh.
I cringed as the kids played with deer bones that were still fuzzy, but, of course, Mike encouraged it.
We ended up on the rock pile near the back of the property. These rocks are from when they blasted to dig their basement when they built the house 25 years ago.
