Much Overdue Updates

I am months behind on our family blog.  I am ready to do some catch-up and get back on track.  I will start here photo-dump-style.  Coming soon I will have posts for each of the kids individually.

In no particular order, here are a few things we've been up to lately (that won't get their own post).

While Eliza's at school Caleb and Josh do some serious dressing up.  The dress-ups are our probably our most-used "toy."  The other day Caleb wore his full knight outfit when we went out to run some errands.

Are we the only ones with swimming goggles in our dress up bin?  Random as they are, the goggles are often favorite item for our kids and their cousins.

Watch out Sir Caleb!  This is one tough underwater princess.

Besides the designated dress-up clothes, the kids love putting on Daddy's clothes.  Mike's shirts drown them!  For some reason, Caleb wanted to pose with one of the pumpkins that adorned our house until mid-March when we finally pureed and froze them.  This pumpkin weighed more than Caleb.

While we're on the topic of dressing up, the kids had an evening of fun playing with my pj pants that had bit the dust.  I made them some six years ago and the fabric had worn paper-thin and completely busted out.

They had fun being siamese twins (and sometimes triplets) for a surprisingly long time.  They even made it up the stairs!  It was a great last hurrah for my jammies.

We found a discarded disc golf frisbee at the park and suddenly have a new tradition of throwing it of this big rock.  We play catch like this every time we're at the park now.

I love that the kids' help is actually helpful nowadays.  These two took turns juicing these giant lemons that we got from my grandma's tree over Christmas.

We have church from 1:00- 4:00 now.  That means Sunday is always a nap-less day.  Despite almost always being there early for Mike's meetings, the kids never want to leave right away afterwards.  They like to run around outside with their friends.   By the time we get home around 5:00, we have somewhere between one and three sleepers.

The kids are into playing "tennis racquet" lately.  They take some serious precautions.  I love that they even have their wedgie straps on.  After snapping some pictures, I was a nice mom and went to throw the ball for them to hit.  They are improving!

When it rains, we have a little stream that flows down through the "clovert" (that's what Caleb calls the culvert that goes under the driveway at the front of the property).  The kids love playing in the water when we have rain.  When they were jumping into the water from up on the driveway, one of them lost a boot.  The boot floated along and got stuck in the "clovert."  Caleb crawled through to rescue it.

This time we made cardboard boats. Yep, that is a pie server that Caleb is using to create a current.

As for me, about six months ago I started another blog-- a personal finance blog about living frugally and paying off our law school debt.  It's been a fun endeavor!  It's growing nicely and is starting to bring in a little side income.  I'm not going to link to it here (I want to keep this personal blog unconnected), but if you are interested in reading it, I would be happy to email the address to you.  You can email me (stephasauri gmail, you know the rest) or leave me a comment.

Individual updates coming soon!
