Lavar Ropa

The washing tub/scrub board combo just happens to be outside our kitchen door. The cleaning and maintenance people use it to wash towels and rags. They said we could use it to do our wash too. There are Laundromats here, but it would mean carrying all of our laundry for 20 minutes up and down dusty hills. By the time we would get it back to the house, I’m sure it would be filthy again. We have opted for the convenient and muscle-building facility provided at our residence. Laundry seems to pile up really quickly when you have to wash each item individually by hand. It is quite a workout, and ends up being a backbreaker for us because the equipment is at Guatemalan height. Now I understand why the people here where the same clothes for several days in a row!
