A few weeks ago, after visiting the St. Louis Temple, we went to the zoo with our friends the Watkinses. The zoo is free, which is our favorite price, and we even found free parking.
Eliza is knocking on the real puffins' window. These guys were out in the heat which I thought was weird.
The penguin exhibit was one unlike any that I had been to before. Instead of the penguins being behind glass, they are sharing the same air with you (which means it is a very cold exhibit)! Their water tank goes up to about your chest level, then above that is open air, so you can watch them swim and climb on the rocks. The tank is on either side of you and the penguins swim underneath the path that you walk on. Sadly, I didn't get any good pictures of the exhibit.
Eliza and Daddy with Ellis and Elijah entering the very cold penguin exhibit.

Those are real penguins you can see.

The hippos were also very cool! You could watch them above and below the water. It was fun to watch them swim right up to the glass.
Watching the hippo swim. They are really fun to watch in the water, especially when they would come right up to us.

Cute pictures! This makes me excited to go to the Cleveland Zoo--we're going in a couple weeks when our friends Ashley and Kolbein come to visit in July. We're excited! Oh, I put some Disney pictures up on Facebook, and Jacob's brother Kyle has a whole bunch up as well :)
We loved the St. Louis Zoo too! And I would have to say that the penguin exhibit was my favorite. Very cool!
Oh, and your little tummy is so cute.
Looks like a blast! I am so excited to be able to take our kids to the zoo. I love the picture of Eliza resting on Mike's head. Seeing pictures of little Eliza always makes me so happy!
This has me cracking up at my desk... "The zoo is free, which is our favorite price".
It was just stated so matter of fact. LOVE IT! LOVE YOU! Can't wait to see you next week! :)
I love the one with Eliza leaning on mike's head. A good father's day picture that would be great on his desk someday.
