A dinosaur broke into the house and we had to track him down. Josh was the youngest participant, but that didn't stop him from having a great time.
The paleontologists dug up dinosaur parts in sawdust (less messy than sand).
Each kid got four colors of homemade play dough, along with some ferns and rocks to make a scene with the dinosaurs that they found earlier.
It totally reminded me of making dioramas in third grade. The kids love it!
Oh, and we still have a dinosaur hat or two floating around here at home. They were a big hit!
For lunch we had dino chicken nuggets, sandwiches cut with a dinosaur sandwich cutter, and some other cute treats. It was a fun morning together!

Great idea! I'll have to suggest a dinosaur party to Sam for his birthday party this year.
