New Friends (and their animals)

We recently made friends with a family who just moved out to the boonies.  Their kids are the same ages as ours, so it's especially fun to get together since everyone has a friend.  They are finally living their homesteading dream.  The kids had fun meeting all the animals and exploring the property.

They have chickens, rabbits, goats, dogs, pigs and a calf, and have since gotten more pigs, and a llama.  I'm sure I'm missing some.

The kids got to bottle feed a calf.  They were totally grossed out by all the slobber, which was kind of funny.

Eliza and Caleb each got a turn to milk one of their goats.

We even tried the goat milk (not the milk we had just milked though).  The kind of goats they have (oberhasli) have milk that is very mild.  Honestly it tasted just like cow's milk.

Isn't this the cutest idea for a swing?  I love that it has a back so young ones don't fall backwards.  It is also heavy, so they don't go too high.  I think it's adorable and the kids loved it!
