It's time to make our news public in the blog world. We're all still in shock and not quite sure how we feel. We didn't anticipate such a big adjustment so soon. There's so much to do in so little time.
We are moving to Champaign, Illinois in two weeks. Mike will attend law school at the University of Illinois. This has been a very hard decision for us (especially me). We accidentally put some deep roots down where we're at, and the just the thought of pulling ourselves up right now is making us wilt. We (especially me) have shed many tears over the decision. One of the hardest parts is leaving our landlords. Gene and Areta have been so kind and generous. They are like family. It's breaking our hearts to leave them. We are thrilled that my cousin, Jill, and her soon-to-be husband will move in after they get married. They are sweet and will look out for Gene and Areta for us and take care of the yard and garden. What a blessing! We are so sad to leave our wonderful ward full of fabulous people. We will miss them all dearly.
Another hard part about us moving is that it is so sudden. We just decided on Saturday, so there's not much time to get in contact with all of our wonderful friends to say goodbye. Some of them won't be back in town until we are gone. Since there isn't time to go visit everyone, I'm thinking about inviting everyone who can to come over for ice cream or something so we can see as many people as possible before we go. With all the preparations we have and the short notice, I think a little get together is the only way we'll be able to see a lot of people. Is that cheesy? We haven't started packing. I know I'm underestimating how long it will take. I just don't want to live in boxes for any longer than we have to (and we don't have any boxes yet anyway). We've looked at homes that are for sale, which is exciting (and scary). We will probably rent something for a few months while we look for something to buy. We're planning on doing something like ABF for moving (they bring the truck, you load it, they drive it). Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on moving and/or buying a house? I'd love to hear your experiences!

Wow! Best of luck with the pack and the move. We know how fun that can be, especially with a wee one. Teresa and her soon-to-be husband will be back there this fall as well to start law school (for Dane). You guys will have to get together!
So what you’re saying is that my 152 votes for you to stay in Provo didn’t count for much? Darn. But what an adventure! Thank heavens for blogworld so we can keep in touch and keep an eye on that cute little Eliza!

Teresa and Dane are also moving to Champaign for him to start law school at the University of Illinois. Small world, eh? They are getting married this Saturday and then heading off for a few weeks of honeymooning which will eventually land them in Illinois. So it looks like Mike and Dane might be classmates. Of all the random place to end up by someone, this is pretty crazy! They’ll enjoy seeing Eliza too, they have talked babies and enjoyed Madeline. Crazy stuff- so fun for all of you guys!
