Caleb at 2 months

Our little man is growing up so fast! It's hard to believe he's already 2 months (well, even older than that now that I'm finally getting around to writing this)!

Caleb is a great little baby. He is becoming happier and more content each day. We can elicit some cute smiles and coos from him, though we have yet to get a really good smiling picture. He generally sleeps well at night time. He usually only gets up twice to eat. He definitely needs to be burped every time, as he spits up all the time. He likes to lie on the kitchen floor on a blanket (when Eliza is strapped into her chair or sleeping) and watch Mommy. He is very good at lifting his head up during tummy time and is much more tolerant of this exercise than Eliza was.

At 2-months old, Caleb is about average for his height and weight. He weighed 11 lbs 12 oz and was 23 1/8 inches long. It's not what we were expecting (Eliza was 13lbs 12oz and 24 inches), but my back sure appreciates it! It will be interesting to see if he stays so small. In the past week (since we had the appointment), he has been eating very frequently, so maybe he is just hitting his growth spurt a little later.

Caleb is a tough guy. He usually handles Eliza's affection (and torture) quite well. He spends most of his time being held or carried by Mommy to prevent any damage from this sisterly love. Although she's not as gentle as we would like, we are grateful that she loves him.

Caleb prefers the pinky (Daddy's) to the binky. He won't take it from Mommy, though, because he knows she can do even better than that!
