Since time isn't slowing down, instead of blogging the details of our adventures lately, I'll just post a few pictures and call it good!
At one month and one day old, Caleb went on his first camping trip. It was a church activity, so we kept it pretty simple.
In the morning we went on a beautiful hike which we all enjoyed.
Mike was afraid he'd blend in with his surroundings, so he wore this lovely selection from his Illlini wardrobe.
We went to the park. Eliza loves to swing and often invites me to accompany her.
We hung out with our law school buddies. Besides little excursions to the park and play dates here and there, I get together with these fabulous ladies (minus the kids) about once a week for craft night or movie night.
We pulled some things out of our garden and ate them.
We visited Prairie Farm petting zoo one last time before it closed for the season.
We burned all the small branches that blew down in the strong winds and cut up the bigger ones to save for later. This stove thingy that the previous owner left us is pretty much awesome. It gets really hot in there so it burns the brush up in no time. You can roast a marshmallow in about .2 seconds over the top, which is another big plus.
We have spent yesterday and today watching the semianual General Conference of our church live via the internet from the comfort of our own couch. Listening can be difficult at times withe kiddos, so we are eager to review all of the wonderful messages when we can concentrate a little better. Eliza's favorite part is singing and dancing to the Tabernacle choir.
We got some very cheap, good produce in bulk at an Amish produce auction, so this past week has been filled with canning! Stay tuned for the complete story as soon as we finish.
Also, stay tuned for a separate post about Caleb's baby blessing, which was last Sunday.

Fun times! Good to see that your carrots are as big as mine!
Those are some monster carrots! Do you eat them plain or use them for cooking?
I'm interested to hear more about an Amish produce auction. I've never heard of anything like that.
LOVE the pic of Eliza with the carrots! And oh boy, don't you DARE be canning with a newborn! Stephanie! You are making me feel like a failure! You = supermom. :)
How did you get those HUGE carrots? Josh is a little jealous (and so am I).
The monster carrots were a surprise to me, too! I guess if you leave them in long enough, they just get big. They are actually a dwarf variety (they don't get much longer than 6 inches) that we tried since we weren't sue about the soil here (we had zero success with our carrots in Utah).
Oh, and Candice, I think the equation is Me=CRAZY! Fortunately I lived to tell the tale. Just finished tonight, in fact. As soon as I recover I will tell you all about it.
