Nap time and bedtime routines have since been a little dramatic. No matter how many books we read and songs we sing, when we walk out and shut the door, she runs after us and sits at the door hitting it and calling our names. If she's just the right amount of tired, the sadness will quickly give into sleep. Other days she stays upset longer. Whether before going to sleep or after she wakes up, she always manages to make her room into a lovely mess.
Eliza takes full advantage of all the possible sleep locations in her little kingdom. It's always a fun game to try to find her when we go check on her. We just have to remember to open the door slowly because she is often right behind it.
Here are a few places I've found her during nap time:
This face-plant doesn't look terribly comfy to me.
This was one of her best hiding places- behind and half-way inside her playhouse.
She always removes the pillow case. Silly girl!
I hadn't realized what a big milestone this would be for me. The change from a crib to a bed made her so much more of a little girl rather than a baby to me. Walking and talking are great milestones, but they seem to come more gradually. Sure, there is first step and a first word, but they develop gradually and culminate in a "first." Beds are different. One night she's in a crib, the next night she's in a bed. She grew up overnight. I['m afraid she might just be a teenager tomorrow. Not ready for that one!

Yep, traumatic transition. She really is growing up into such a cutie! I have read every post of yours, by the way, I just rarely comment. Maybe because I'd always say the same thing: "You are such a good mom!"
