Mustache and Sweater Party

Our friends the Noonans planned a holiday party with a special twist: hideous holiday sweaters (is that redundant?) and hideous mustaches (redundant in nearly all cases).

The local thrift stores were fresh out of holiday sweaters, so we (I) made our own. Well, I didn't make the sweaters, just embellished ones we already had. Eliza's accidentally turned out kind of cute (I even let her wear it on a few other holiday occasions). Caleb wore a hand-me-down Santa suit along with his best Santa 'stache.

Just a note on Mike's 'stache: Of course he was growing it out along with a beard. When he shaved the beard to leave the mustache, he decided to stop here because it was funny. Later that evening, he shaved off the handlebars and it was so freaky gross. You should be glad that I didn't take a picture.

Here we are with the whole group:

The girls with big hair to compliment their sweaters:

We were out pretty late (for kids' standards) and the kids were getting pretty loopy. Eliza and Auston played about 18 rounds of Ring Around the Rosie(s) which turned into some silly toddler wrestling.
