Caleb at 11 Months

Caleb is growing up so fast.  It's hard to believe that he's nearly one.  He has been pulling himself up and doing some cruising lately, but climbing is his favorite.  He likes to get as high as he can.  He likes to walk holding onto our hands.  He army crawls (slithers) like a lizard.  (I'm not sure if he'll ever go for the traditional crawling, though it has got to be way easier.  I tried to slither like Caleb and I was beat after going 6 inches.)

We have been feeding Caleb more table food lately.  He loves pasta and bread, but bananas are definitely his favorite.  He eats an entire banana by himself for breakfast.  I still nurse him on demand and he is showing no signs of wanting to give it up.

Caleb is getting to be one tough little guy.  Some days he takes a lot of love from his big sister.  When she tackles him, he laughs and laughs, but usually doesn't get to crying before I pry Eliza off of him.

Caleb weighs 24 pounds even, according to our scale.  He still has 8 teeth, though I'm pretty sure he's working on a few more, as he has been munching on his hands (and has been fussy) for the past couple weeks.

We finally moved Caleb into Eliza's room.  A week after moving him in (in the pack-n-play that he's been in since Day 1), Mike got his crib fixed and all set up.  So far we've only had to remove Eliza twice.  I think she has learned that getting in with him is a bad idea.  That doesn't stop her from torturing him in other ways.

One morning, I found Caleb with the neck of his pajama top around his waist and without his pajama pants on.  I asked Eliza why Caleb didn't have any clothes on and she said "Because I taked them off."

Caleb usually takes 2 naps a day, but neither of them is usually longer than an hour.  He often cries for quite a while after I lay him down.  At night, he usually goes to sleep pretty well (around 7:30 or 8:00) and sleeps until 5:00, when I nurse him and put him back down for another 2 hours or so.

Caleb has a winning smile and laughs easily.  Caleb signs "more" kind of like a clap.  He also shakes his head "no," usually to say that he doesn't want anymore of a particular food.

Eliza emptied all the blankets out of this end table (she covered the living room with them, then swam in them) and Caleb crawled right in and made himself at home.

Maybe Caleb is destined to be an electrician.  He was having a blast sticking the toy wrench in a socket.

We love this little guy!

Gosh, it's hard to believe the last time we saw him he was in your tummy!
