We were excited when the snow turned lovely and the temperatures bearable. The kids were thrilled to venture out in it. We even stayed outside longer than it took to get ready to go outside, which is definitely a sign of something good. I may have even made a few snow angels myself. Unfortunately Mike was too busy toning his muscles (shoveling) to document my creations.
We had a couple of days above 50 degrees last week, so all the snow (except for huge piles in parking lots) is gone now.
I got the sand toys out to use in the snow. Snow is a lot easier to pack down and get out than sand. Though the kids smashed my castles, just the same.
It was fun to venture into the virgin snow of the backyard.
Eliza enjoyed sitting down in the snow and feeling it all around her.
Caleb was not quite sure what to think of it all.
Our backyard quickly became anything but "untouched."
Mike is shoveling the top layer of the glacier so we could have a path to the shed. I think this is more snow than we had our other two winters here put together!

snow is fun to play in when you get some warmer weather to go out in isn't it?
It's definitely a successful snow day, when you stay outside longer than five minutes! How cute they look all bundled up!
