4th of July Swimming

July 4th was hot, hot, hot here.  We went to Mike's boss's house to swim and have a delicious barbecue.  The kids absolutely loved the pool.  They had lots of kid-sized life jackets (which is a fabulous idea for anyone with a pool), so all of his grandkids and our kids had life jackets.  Our kids also wore their water wings that we picked up on the way there.  Eliza loved the freedom her floatation devices allowed her.  She was very excited to be able to float all by herself.  She even went without the life jacket for a while and just used the water wings.  Both kids jumped in the pool and had Mom or Dad catch them.

After spending the day in the sun, we had more hamburgers and food with Mike's brother and sister and their families. We had fun watching the fireworks together and letting the kids stay up way too late.  And we didn't take any pictures.
