For the third year in a row, we've ended the summer by camping with law school friends in northern Illinois. Being 37 weeks pregnant doesn't stop me from spending a beautiful night under the stars with family and friends. Funny enough, the first year we had it at the end of July, when I was near the end of my pregnancy with Caleb. I was actually pretty comfortable this year, maybe because I wimped out and brought my pillow. The kids slept great too! It was supposed to be a chilly weekend, but we didn't get cold. We had a pretty small turnout this year, but we still had lots of fun!
I didn't take any pictures at night, but here are a few from the morning:
The boys (minus Henry) starting up some breakfast.
Caleb digs in!
The kids love this hammock swing! It's hung from really high in the tree so it swings really high and spins in all directions. Unfortunately the clearest picture I got has both kids examining their noses. Go figure!
Daddy and his little girl.
Proof that I was there, too! (picture taken by Katie)
Caleb tripped when he was carrying a log over to the fire and got himself a shiner. (picture taken by Katie) Caleb collecting acorns and grass in the pie iron.
Eliza loved making faces at baby Henry to entice him to smile!
