Caleb at 26 months

Caleb has started having an opinion about what clothes he wears.  The other day he said "Wear dysore shirt."  At first I didn't understand him, but then he said it again: "Wear dysore shirt.  Eat Liza. Raaar."  Oh, you want to wear your dinosaur shirt.

It's fun to see Caleb add in more complex words and phrases to his vocabulary.  His latest is "either."  He adds it on to sentences and it often makes sense.

Caleb is learning how to push Eliza's buttons and she loves to let him.  The quickest way he knows to start a fight with words is by emphatically saying "I'm the oldest" to which she yells "No, I'm the oldest" and it goes back and forth until a grown up breaks it up.

One afternoon Mike told me that he smelled something funny around our bedroom.  I went to investigate and found the hot sandwich maker grill (like a George Foreman for sandwiches) on the carpet in our bedroom, plugged in, with wooden play food inside (bread, of course).  Caleb had decided to take the pretend food to the next level.  This was the second time that Caleb had plugged in a small kitchen appliance.  We're lucky our house is still standing.  (We have since put all the kitchen appliances out of reach and started being diligent about using plug covers.)

Caleb has been pretty attached to this little dog that my Grandpa Carl got for him.  Here he is feeding the dog.

Caleb always sits really still while Daddy cuts his hair.
