With life jackets on, Eliza and Caleb swam across to the other side, where they spent most of the time.
Josh stayed with me and splashed around.
The kids had fun burying their legs in sand.
Doesn't it look like they're wearing pants?
We stayed at the river until about 5:00. On our way home, we stopped by the library to return some books. We saw that they were setting up for something, so I asked someone and found out that in half an hour, they were going to have National Night Out, which included free dinner. Perfect! I called Mike and he met us there after work.
Besides choosing some swag from the Target booth, the fire truck was the favorite. The kids got to "drive" and even got to spray the hose.
We got our picture in the newspaper (above). Well, mostly Mike, but you can see pieces of the rest of us if you look hard. That's our third time in the newspaper since we moved her a year ago. We're pretty much famous.

Super famous! What a fun day and fun night to run into, I love when that happens.
