- met her cousin Carly for the first time
- started sleeping in her own room
- acquired lots more sounds to jabber
- ate her first piece of watermelon (mom was letting her lick it, but she sucked it in and almost choked)
- got her 3rd tooth in (1st one on top)
- had her first medicine :( (at her well baby check the doctor said her ear "looked suspicious" and prescribed antibiotics) and hates it
- experimented with different solids and so far likes all of them (unless there is medicine in it... she can't be fooled)
- went on her first paddle boat ride

Eliza at 7 Months
Last Saturday, Eliza turned 7 months old. It's still hard to believe that she was inside of me for even longer than she has been outside of me. She is a very pleasant baby. We have people asking us all the time, "Is she always this good?" The truth is that she usually is. She has been especially smiley lately. This month Eliza...
Just giggling before church.
Since Eliza has never had a bottle, the concept of a sippy cup eludes her.
Aunt Whitney brought Eliza some Mickey ears from Disneyland! She really is more thrilled than this picture would lead you to believe.
Grandma Melinda got Carly (1.5 months) and Eliza (6.5 months) matching outfits. These girl don't exactly fit into their sizes (according to age). Carly's was too big and Eliza's was too small. (As you can see, Eliza's eyes were really bad that day.)
This was what Eliza did in her booster seat during breakfast. Since there was already poo all over her chair and the floor I figured I may as well set her down and go get the camera. There are other pictures in this series, but I will spare you.
We went on a walk around our new neighborhood one evening and Eliza insisted on hanging onto her dolly's rings with one hand and off the side of the stroller with the other. She maintained this position the entire walk and even fell asleep like this (but woke up when we got home and I got the camera).
We went paddle-boating with the Parrys and Rogers on Crystal Lake in Urbana. The life vest was not Eliza's favorite part.

Happy eater!
Eliza LOVES to "sauce" in her exersaucer.
