Eliza didn't cough for the doctor, but the doctor could hear the problem in her lungs. She said it was either asthma or a respiratory virus. She say the would "neb" her (do an albuterol treatment via a nebulizer) and see if it made a difference. If it did, it would mean she may have asthma and we would get a nebulizer to take home. If it didn't work, then she would give us some treatment ideas for the virus.
When the nurse came in to neb Eliza, she told us that kids usually scream and cry when they have the mask put on them, so I would have to hold Eliza tight while the nurse held Eliza's hands down. Eliza knocked the nurse's socks off when she didn't make a sound, held still, and even smiled at Grandma's entertaining. She couldn't believe how good Eliza was. When we took off the cute dino mask, Eliza wanted to play with it. They let her have it since they were just going to throw it away. Here she is modeling it at home:
[For those of you tracking Elizasaurus's growth, she was 23 lbs 2 oz at the doctor yesterday (7 months 3 days old).]

Matthew just used the same dino mask for his pneumonia. It is now in our toy doctor kit. Hope Eliza gets better soon!
Oh, poor thing! I’m glad it’s not asthma, though. Man, I can’t believe she’s 23 lbs already! Kate is only 25 lbs at 22 months! By the way, how is Mike liking school?
So Ruby is only 28 lbs at 2+ years! She was a chunk though and has slimmed down with all her activity.
I’m glad she doesn’t have asthma, but it is still scary when your baby can’t breathe. I hope she gets through the virus soon.
Eliza has such pretty blue eyes! She is a cutie.
Ah, what a relief that she doesn’t have asthma. She looks so cute in her little mask though
I think Truman and Eliza weigh the same - and why shouldn’t they? He’s only TWICE her age! But alas, the kid doesn’t eat…
I’m glad you ventured over to our blog–because now we know where to find you.
You forgot to tell everyone how good you and Mike are getting at softball.
And thanks for publishing to the world that wonderful picture of orange poop!
Poor baby…I’m glad the humidifier seems to make her more comfortable!!
