Caleb loves playing outside. He is fine being out there even if no one else is out with him (I often watch through the kitchen window while I'm cooking). He loves sticks. He loves mud. He loves birds. He loves dogs, especially when they are on the other side of the fence so he can watch from a distance.
Caleb still enjoys playing with dolls and we don't discourage it. He loves to feed them, swaddle them, carry them, and push them in the stroller. He is the cutest little daddy.
Caleb is a breakfast man. The first word out of his mouth every morning is "foo" (food) or "see-yaw" (cereal). He will eat 3 or 4 (small) bowls of cereal with no trouble at all. He eats more than Eliza for breakfast.
Caleb is very affectionate. He loves giving hugs and kisses and snuggling with mom and dad. Such a sweetie!
Caleb has become very interested in music and singing lately. He will go up to the piano and say "song song" and motion for me to sit down on the bench. He always wants me to turn on the music (kid music, of course) in the car. He loves to sing along and does quite well. I substituted for the music leader in the nursery at church and was surprised how much he sings, even in a big group where you wonder who all is even listening.
Here are some random shots from the month:
Whenever the little white bucket is in sight, you will find it on this guy's head. This picture is also an example of Caleb saying "cheeeeeese" every time a camera is pointed in his direction.
This was one of those "he-sure-has-been-quiet-in-there-for-a-long-time" moments. That's the diaper bag size sunscreen that he has smeared everywhere. My kitchen smelled like the beach.
Caleb loves to dance. However, my favorite part of the picture is Mike in the background being (and holding) the audience for the kids' dance show. Oh, and for the record, his accessory was chosen for him by the princess herself. I know you're jealous.
Mike decided to engage the kids in cleaning the kitchen floor one Saturday morning (apparently before Caleb was fully dressed).
Caleb appointed himself as the foreman and let Mike and Eliza do the work.
Caleb loves eating his lunch (and breakfast and dinner) outside. I love how he is just chillin' at his table.
And last, but not least, Caleb in his "wear." He really wanted to wear his "wear" to bed, so we settled on this. Eliza really encourages him in the potty department (and I'll get on board here soon), so he knows how cool it is to wear "wear."
