We went to the Orpheum Children's Science Museum along with some of friends from church for a preschool field trip. After a short presentation on dinosaurs and fossils, the kids got to participate in a dinosaur dig. It was a windy and chilly day, but the kids enjoyed themselves.
The have a couple of sand pits that have "dinosaur bones" buried in them (and cemented in the ground). They give the kids shovels, buckets, and paint brushes to remove the sand from their specimens.
Here, you'll see Eliza and her friend Scarlett (and Caleb) making some discoveries!
After the dig, we explored the museum a little and had lunch. The kids had a blast!
