Eliza insists that she is bigger than I am and nearly as big as Mike is. She brings her bigness up several times a day. She got pretty upset a few weeks ago when, some girls who are a few years older called her "little."
Often Eliza will start the day by telling me, "I'm going to be kind to Caleb today." She does well generally, though she often takes fun activities (tickling, chasing, wrestling, splashing in the tub, etc.) a little too far and Caleb goes from laughing to crying. I am impressed at how long the two of them can play outside together by themselves. It's really sweet to watch.
Eliza still puts everything in her mouth. Everything. If she doesn't have anything in her hands, she puts her hands in her mouth. I'm sure she's built up a pretty good immune system by doing this, but I'm ready for it to stop. Any ideas on how to get her to stop?
A few random shots from the month:
I found some "boy" dress-ups at a yard sale (a whole knight ensemble for a dollar) and Eliza is wearing the breastplate in front and the shield on her back (while playing the piano, no less).
Eliza loves to spin and dance, especially when she's wearing a dress.
Eliza and Caleb share the computer chair when they watch shows (at least that's how it starts out). Here they are watching "Potty Power." My mommy heart smiled inside when I saw her arm around him.
It about burst when I saw her stop to teach her little pupil. "Say 'No more diapers for me!' Caleb."
Eliza and Daddy making a little evening snack thanks to all the branches down from recent storms.

I'm going to have to look up that Potty Power show.
My only suggestion for helping Eliza keep her fingers out of her mouth is to have an in depth conversation about germs and how they get into your body, complete with pictures.
Lisa, that's a great idea to teach her about germs! Thanks!
