We love any excuse to wear a costume, so getting free food is a wonderful excuse. You may remember that we did this a few years ago when we only had two young calves.
I picked up a remnant of cow fabric at the thrift store for less than a dollar a month ago knowing that cow appreciation day was coming up sometime soon. I used it to make shorts for the boys and a skirt for Eliza. With white shirts, spots of black felt, and ear headbands, it made a fun costume for the kiddos.
Sadly, we have no pictures of their shorts and skirt. I didn't look at the pictures until after I had taken the spots off all the shirts and put everything away in the costume box. You'll have to wait until next year to see how cute they are.
Until then, you can smile at these cute cows!
