Arizona and New Mexico

My mom invited me and the kids to take a road trip to Arizona with her and my sister Whitney and her one-year-old Chelsea. It happened to be a few days before Mike's Spring Break, so we arranged for him to fly down and meet us when he was done with school. We were a little over ambitious in making the 28-hour drive (and boy did the kids let us know), but we survived (though there were points we weren't sure if we were going to).

Once we got to Arizona, we enjoyed spending time with family. Mike arrived only about 15 hours after we did. It was a really fast trip, but we both got to see grandparents and other extended family from our sides of the family!

Mike and I did a session at the Arizona temple, then brought the kids to visit the temple grounds the next day.

We stopped by to visit my sister Darbie in Albuquerque on our way home. Mike spent hours (literally hours) fighting Jay with light sabers while my sisters and I worked on some sewing and crafting together.

We went to an awesome children's museum called Explora! Kids and grown-ups (if you can call us grown-ups) alike had a blast! I wish we could have stayed longer (or come back without the kids)! It's not too far from my sister's house, but apparently it was long enough for Eliza to accomplish some intense black marker tatooing on her feet.

Caleb was spent!

I was eager to get a cousin bath picture, but Caleb wouldn't have it. Jay is 4 years old. The other 4 kids are all 6 months apart. It was fun to have them all together. In a couple more years it will be even more fun because they'll be more interested in playing together!
