Unlike our normal Sunday mornings, we were up and ready with plenty of time to spare. I even curled my hair with hot rollers. It was the first time I had used them, so Eliza was very intrigued. She really wanted one in her hair too.
I always want to get pictures of the kids on Sundays because they are so cute in their church clothes, but we never have (or make) time before church and you know that after three hours of church, sitting still and cooperating are about the last things the kids want to do. I was excited to finally get a few pictures before church, though Caleb turned out to be a little uncooperative anyway.
Mike was speaking in church that morning (which meets at 11), so he turned on the computer to prepare a few more things and saw that the computer said 11:11. He asked what time it was and I told him it was just after 10. "Oh, good. I almost had a heart attack! The computer says it's after 11." was his response. You know where this is going. It wasn't even an "Oh! I forgot daylight savings time was this weekend" or anything. For the first time, we didn't have a clue. Thankfully (and miraculously) we were all already ready to go, so we piled in the car and made it to church before Mike was supposed to speak. A little embarrassing, but it could have been worse!

Oh no! Talking on daylight savings days--yikes! This year was the first year we totally spaced it, too. We were supposed to meet with a member of the bishopric before church...so we totally missed that appointment. I'm glad Mike didn't miss his talk, though! Phew!
