Backpacking with the Krauses 2008

This post is over a year and a half overdue, so enjoy this blast from the past!

We had been planning to go backpacking with our friends the Krauses for ages, but we didn't make it happen until two weeks before we moved. I don't remember exactly where we went. The trail led to a hot springs that had naked people in it when we hiked past at night, but was vacant on our way back out. Here are some pictures from the adventure:

We stopped to feed the kiddos and give them a break while the guys went ahead to scout out the perfect spot to camp. They came back with a rhyme to lead us to the place.

It was pretty late by the time we found our perfect spot.

Eliza and I slept in our 2-man tent and Mike slept just outside.


It was chilly in the morning (even though it was August), so I put socks on Eliza's hands.

We camped next to this beautiful stream.

Eliza spent the night swaddled in Mike's baby blanket.

Eliza and Bradley are great little buddies. I love their little intertwined arms here.

Eliza loved being in the Moby wrap and went right to sleep while Bradley stayed up to enjoy the view. Nancy and I kept having to wait for the guys. They wanted to take pictures of everything!
